Hi, I'm Andele! Thank you for taking the time to view my resume.
I'm a flexible engineer with broad experience in different programming languages and technologies. I've worked in various .NET and web environments professionally, as well as data science and AI projects during my academic studies.
Along with strong knowledge of the technologies listed above, I also have experience with languages such as C, C++, Scala, and Rust. I love to learn new technologies, and I contribute to open source projects to improve my skills outside of my professional career.
Efficiency, clean code, and working with up-to-date best practices are important aspects of engineering to me. Automating my workflows helps me focus on creating instead of dealing with repetitive tasks.
I'm a very curious person and will keep asking questions until I really understand what's going on. Once something catches my interest, I will learn quickly and really bite down on the challenge to get up to speed fast.

Modeling a domain wall network in BiFeO3 with stochastic geometry and entropy-based similarity measure
I co-authored an article published in Frontiers in Materials as a result of my master's thesis in AI. The research contributes to the understanding of neuromorphic materials and their applications in computing and artificial intelligence. I explored various modeling techniques and employed genetic machine learning to optimize a generation method for artificial samples based on ground truth samples annotated using purpose-built software, written in Python.

MELLE (BOIKON)
A machine platform developed by BOIKON in collaboration with Tijhuis Houtbewerkingsmachines to automate loading and unloading of timber to and from Hundegger wood sawing and milling machines.
ROLE
- Carried full responsibility for the design and implementation of the "level 2" software stack, including the HMI application, machine coordinator, and Hundegger data format integration.
- Collaborated with stakeholders, and other departments to determine requirements.

FOSKE (BOIKON)
A BOIKON platform for automation of hospital Central Sterile Services Departments. The system aims to reduce repetitive human labour by automating the transportation of medical instruments and equipment through the CSSD, and improve efficiency by automatically verifying the contents of instrument trays and containers. The system integrates with hospital systems and uses a combination of automated guided vehicles, conveyor systems, and robotic arms to handle (un)loading, transport, and sterilization priority of instrument containers.
ROLE
- Contributed to the design and implementation of a large-scale software platform aimed to be adaptable to different hospital environments, including database design, system architecture, and preparations for scaling.

SYBOLT (BOIKON)
A collaboration between BOIKON and Van Wijnen Construction to develop an end-to-end system that automates the application of ceramic brick strips to prefabricated concrete walls, as part of Van Wijnen's Smart Factory. The system includes input and transportation systems, applicator robots, and a quality control system, to ensure precise placement of the brick strips. The system requires a complex mix of integration with Van Wijnen's factory ERP system, logistics, planning, and human machine interfaces. It converts incoming order data to actionable tasks for the automated transportation systems and robots, and responds in real-time to feedback from various sensors and quality control systems to adjust operations as needed.
ROLE
- Became acquainted with a complex code-base with many data services, databases, and GUI applications with minimal documentation in a short timeframe.
- Maintained and improved the codebase, improving system performance and introducing new features.
- Integrated CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins.
- Set up a Windows Server staging environment to test new software versions.
- Collaborated closely with mechanical engineers, PLC developers, and project managers to establish requirements.

EetSmakelijk.nl (Sluijmer Multimedia)
A regional competitor to the established players in the food delivery industry, EetSmakelijk.nl was a food delivery platform focused on offering online ordering services to local restaurants at a fair price without negatively affecting the consumer experience. The platform included a website and mobile app for customers, as well as a dashboard and CRM system for restaurant partners to manage products, orders and deliveries. Unfortunately, the platform was discontinued due to the effects of COVID-19, and strict contract terms with established names making it difficult for restaurants to switch platforms.
ROLE
- Worked on design and implementation of backend services and APIs, including order management, payment processing, and restaurant management.
- Collaborated on front-end development, including the website and mobile app.
